Frequently Asked Questions
Flight training, multi-engine ratings, VA benefits, pricing, and locations.
Do you offer single-engine training, or only multi-engine?
Both. Single-engine training (Private through Commercial) runs through our JB Aeronautics location in Fresno, CA under FAA Part 61 and Part 141. Multi-engine, ATP, and MEI training run at our Riverside, Hanford, and Norfolk locations in Tecnam P2006T twins.
I already have my commercial single-engine — how do I add a multi-engine rating?
Our Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On is $5,995 and includes up to 8 hours of dual instruction, up to 6 hours of one-on-one ground, online ground school, and a 2-hour aircraft rental for your checkride. Because we schedule your examiner (DPE) before you arrive, many add-on pilots finish in about 4–5 days. It requires a Commercial Pilot Certificate (ASEL).
Can I use my GI Bill® or VA benefits for flight training?
Several programs at our JB Aeronautics location in Fresno, CA are VA approved — including the Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On, MEI, CFI, CFII, Commercial (ASEL), and Instrument ratings. Eligibility and approval are program- and location-specific, and GI Bill flight benefits generally require you to already hold a Private Pilot certificate. Separately, the VA Licensing & Certification benefit can reimburse FAA written-test and checkride fees — up to $2,000 per exam, submitted after completion. We also support the MILCOMP pathway for military pilots. The best first step is a quick call with our VA team to confirm what you qualify for. VA educational benefit eligibility requirements apply.
How do financing and payments work?
We don't offer in-house financing, but many students finance their training through aviation-specific lenders — our funding guide at anywhereaero.com/funding-guide has resources and lender options. Where eligible, VA benefits can be combined with financing. We accept card and ACH/bank transfer for deposits and balances.
Do you offer multi-engine time building or aircraft rental for licensed pilots?
Yes. Multi-engine time building is $350/hr wet in California and $445/hr wet in Norfolk for qualified licensed pilots.
What does a typical training week look like?
It's an intensive, focused schedule. Most days pair one-on-one ground instruction with one or two training flights in the Tecnam P2006T, building toward your checkride — which we schedule before you arrive so there's no waiting. Multi-engine add-on students typically finish in about 4–5 days, while ATP practical programs generally run 1–2 weeks depending on weather and scheduling.
Where are you located?
Riverside, CA; Hanford, CA (KHJO); Norfolk, VA; and Fresno, CA (JB Aeronautics, KFAT).
